Atlanta, Ga., September 9, 2006 —The Sandbox, one of Atlanta’s premier dating and social networks, is planning to organize even more fun events for singles, after the speed dating events held at some of Atlanta’s finest restaurants. In addition to speed dating events, The Sandbox has also hosted dinners for singles, as well as wine tastings. The company will also host Cupid’s Shaken and Stirred, a Valentine’s Day party for singles at Shout restaurant in midtown Atlanta. Singles can register for the event and create a profile online to help search for other singles in Atlanta and receive exclusive invitations to parties and events.
Speed dating, which allows each man or woman to get to know someone at a table for about four minutes at a time before moving to the next table, is becoming more and more popular. It gives singles a chance to figure out if they want to get to know the person further and is a fun way to meet new people.
Participants in The Sandbox activities have said the company representatives make it easy and fun to meet up with other singles. “I was able to find someone with similar interests in a comfortable environment,” Meredith Arrington shares. “The guy I met at The Sandbox event was really nice — we’ll probably be going out again.”
