The Sandbox
Making Singles Doubles
After surveying the single marketplace, it was recognized that the needs of singles in the city were not being adequately met. Though there are professional, social and religious options, the quality of the events and programs are weak. Singles deserve more than online dating web sites and random quarterly parties. Most of these events attract singles that are not serious about relationships and are still in the ‘having fun mode.
As a result, The Sandbox created programs that target Young Professionals, Baby Boomers, Religious, Ethnic, Gay, Cultural and Common Interest Groups. Our objective is to create safe, friendly environments for singles to expose and integrate with diverse people at non-traditional dating events like speed dating, happy hours and other innovative ways to get singles’ together in hopes they can make connections.
The Sandbox creates every single event with you and your needs in mind. The Sandbox is not just about finding a potential partner, it’s about offering singles a safe and easy way to meet new people, make new friends and have a great time. The Sandbox is committed to providing its clients with a first-rate service. Unlike other dating services, The Sandbox considers you as an individual. We use our experience in the dating scene and combined it with matchmaking. We have figured a way to bring together people with similar interests, goals and desires in order match them up. Our state of the art matchmaking enables us to send out private invites to singles that are more compatible with each other. Register now and you can be on your way to our next private event.

History of Speed dating
Los Angeles Rabbi Yaacov Deyo invented speed dating in 1998 as a way for marriage focused young Jewish singles to meet. Speed Dating has since expanded throughout the world as an innovative way for busy single people to meet each other without any of the stigma linked with traditional dating agencies. Speed dating is now a popular activity with events almost every big city.
The basic idea is that an equal number of men and women attend a venue; each person spends about 5 minutes chatting to each potential partner, and then decides which people they would like to see again. The organizers facilitate an exchange of details if there is a match.
The original format involved men sitting along one side of a long table with the women lined up along the other, every few minutes the men shifting along one space. Most speed dating services still operate according to this production line approach.
